Në bordin e “Skocezit fluturues”

Lokomotiva më e famshme në Britani po feston 80- vjetorin e saj, që kur u bë i pari tren që udhëtonte me mbi 100 milje në orë.

Një seri me foto fantastike nga “Skocezi fluturues” janë publikuar për të shënuar këtë udhëtim rekord-thyes më 30 nëntor 1934.



Udhëtimin e parë e bëri nga Edinburgu për në Londër.

Lokomotiva arriti shpejtësinë prej 100 milje në orë kur ishte pranë Grantham.

Kështu, “Skocezi” ishte zyrtarisht treni më i shpejtë në botë.

Lokomotiva u ndërtua për herë të parë në vitin 1923 dhe e mori emrin për shkak të linjës Londër- Edinburg.

Lokomotiva ishte në shërbim për 39 vite.

Tani ndodhet në Muzeun Kombëtar të Hekurudhave në Jork.
